The evening opened with an elegant cocktail reception in the Oberoi’s breathtaking patio, a space inspired by ancient Moroccan palaces. Under the open sky, OPMers reconnect over fine cocktails, gourmet bites, and live music by Sonia Noor, a Moroccan singer-songwriter whose soulful blend of oriental rhythms and contemporary sounds set the perfect ambiance for the evening.
As friends continues to arrive from all corners of the world, laughter and the clinking of glasses filled the air setting the tone for five unforgettable days of adventure, conversation, and new memories.
Wasting no time, OPM60 set off to explore the cultural heartbeat of Marrakech. After breakfast at The Oberoi, the group embarked on a guided exploration through the city’s most iconic landmarks — from the towering Koutoubia Mosque and the intricate Saadian Tombs to the splendid Bahia Palace. The journey continues through the serene Majorelle Gardens and its Berber Museum of Art, followed by a visit to the Yves Saint Laurent Museum and the beautifully restored Dar El Bacha Palace.
Lunch was served at Les Jardins du Lotus, a 19th-century mansion in the heart of the medina offering refined Mediterranean and international cuisine in a lush, elegant setting. As lunch unfolded OPM60 didn’t miss the opportunity to greet the DJ and take center stage.
Later in the day, the evening gathering and dinner was at Le Noto, a beautiful restaurant with a cozy atmosphere, dynamic musicians and a delicious feast.
On day three OPM60 ventured beyond Marrakech into the majestic High Atlas Mountains for a day of exploration and connection with nature. After breakfast at The Oberoi, 4×4 vehicles lead the group through scenic mountain routes and charming Berber villages. Along the way, a nature walk and a tea break with locals at the Plateau du Kik offered an authentic glimpse into rural Moroccan life and breathtaking panoramic views.
Lunch was hosted at the Domaine de La Roseraie in Ouirgane a serene estate surrounded by lush rose gardens and fresh mountain air. The experience captured the essence of Moroccan hospitality and tranquility.
The day concluded back in Marrakech at the Dar Yacout, an iconic destinations for Moroccan fine dining, renowned for its ceremonial multi-course dinners and timeless charm, blending elegance and warmth.
Day four centers on thought leadership and innovation as OPM60 traveled to Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Benguerir, one of Morocco’s most modern academic institutions.
After a tour of campus and conversation with UM6P’s President, Mr. Hicham El Habti, the day’s sessions featured distinguished speakers including Mr. Driss Benhima, Mr. Mohamed Benchaaboun, Ms. Ayaan Adam and Ambassador Seyni Nafo. Discussions explore Morocco’s economic transformation, leadership, and the intersection of tradition and progress.
Day five invited OPM60 friends to unwind and celebrate the final moments of the reunion in true Moroccan style. Leisurely activities and delicious meals were enjoyed by the Oberoi pool, where guests were surrounded by serene views of citrus gardens.
In the late afternoon, the group departed for the Agafay Desert, a captivating landscape just outside Marrakech that offered a taste of Sahara’s magic. As the sun set, guests gathered for a cocktail reception under the open sky, followed by a gala dinner beneath the stars. The evening came alive with performances by the Celebration Orchestra & Gnawa Fusion, Folkloric Troupe Ahwach Tazouit, and DJ Omary, blending Moroccan tradition with modern rhythm.
A night of music, laughter, and starlit memories, the perfect finale to an unforgettable reunion.
As the Marrakech journey ends, OPM60 friends left this stunning city taking lasting memories of connection, discovery, and spirit of Morocco with them.
